“Blessed is the man that endureth temptation for when he is tried he shall receive the crown of life.”
Bible, James i. 12.
It’s not for everyone, but if you’re a devout or spiritual person, Christian drug rehabilitation may be the route for you to conquer your addiction to drugs. Spirituality is not just like the light in the window, or the guiding light in the sky; it is as close as your nearest church.
If you are looking for help, start where you know. Ask at your local church. If they do not offer a program to church members, they will be able to make personal recommendations about alternative places where you can go for help.
It takes tremendous strength to break the cycle of addiction. With Christian resources, the addict will not have to do it alone.
A spiritual program will heal mind, body, and soul with the help of God.
Rehabilitation programs rely on spiritual guidance programs similar to the one in Alcoholics Anonymous. What Christian protocols have in common is that they teach personal responsibility, while at the same time teaching you to reach out to God for spiritual support, as well as other program members; they do not make you bear the responsibility on your own. Another feature of spiritual programs is they offer an outlet for forgiveness that other rehab protocols may not offer. Christian drug rehab fosters an atmosphere of community in which God plays an active supporting role.
“…I was the song of the drunkards. But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.” Psalm 69
