Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in on the topic of cleansing and recovery. Twice a year I do a 9 day cleansing using an exclusive companies products (not going to pump up anyone as this isn’t a commercial). Their rules are pretty simple; water, protein shakes, nuts, salads and different types of their liquids are about all you are allowed to have. You cannot have any alcohol or caffeine as well. This just got me thinking…..i’ve just started the recovery process and I remember how my cravings for coffee (which is a requirement for me every morning!) completely disappeared in 9 days when I cleansed. I totally lost any urge to have that cup in the morning, even though I LOVE coffee and am quite particular about it, I just didn’t want it. I also was firm in not having any alcohol during that time and just thought that for those of you starting the recovery process, maybe something like this could be a kickstart. Weight wise, you will drop 6-10 pounds but it also makes you feel great and detoxed in a way…….your thoughts?
