Was that the movie with that peanut mouthed actress…umm..from Wild At Heart? What was her name?
    GREAT MOVIE!
I KNEW A CHIC LIKE THAT!
Knew some cats back in high school that huffed their way…though HIGH school. Shiny silver noses and all….heres a thought…ONE of ’em went on to be a PUBLIC DEFENDER! Now THAT’S NEAT-O!

Well…Laura Dern…that’s her name. RIGHT. Good movie.

I watched a movie called Citizen Jane a couple years ago….it gives an interesting spin on addiction recovery. It also deals a lot with abortion issues. One of those food for thought movies…

Isn’t “Trainspotting” an addiction movie? (or is it “Trainspotters?”)

Leaving Las Vegas was pretty good IMO, as was Clean and Sober.

I’ll have to put my thiniking cap on for some others…

    “Rush”.
With Jason Patrick and Jennifer Jason-Leigh.
You’ll have to look hard for the recovery angle.
But the addiction picture is crystal clear.

One book I absolutely loved though about a guys journey through heroin and everything else addiction is ‘Wonderland Avenue’ by Danny Sugerman, you know the guy who managed the Doors? Its a great unoficial rock biog, a really gripping read, id give it five stars for entertainment value, and its poignant without being sick makingly cheesy. Another great read on the same subject (and also a great movie too,but its in german, with subtitles) is Christiane F. Its an oldie now,but its great, with footage of a cool David Bowie concert in Berlin. Anyone read these?
