I have been diagnosed with PTSD by two psychiatrists, one outside of treatment and one in treatment. This is a tricky disorder because medications aren’t really out there for ptsd, unless if you want to be sedated, and I, do not. It takes a lot of work with a therapist to get to the other side somewhat with PTSD. There were multiple events that have occured that affected me. I have done some treatment called EMDR (if you’re interested, look it up, it is complicated to explain). Anyway, with one of my main issues, it helped to detach the negative emotions from the situation. I feel as though psychiatric issues are better with a professional, and people with working knowledge of the twelve steps to take you through them and be there for you.:grouphug:
